The Veri-KEG is an in line inspection system, which inspects beer kegs in motion at speeds of up to 1,200 kegs per hour. The system has a height adjustable inspection head, which is automatically raised or lowered to inspect various keg sizes at the appropriate height.
Years of experience have allowed us to develop a dynamic template inspection tool which allows the system to be sensitive to very small leaks, irrespective of variations in spear seals, ring sizes or profiles.
The latest version of the Veri-KEG system is especially suited to go over the check-weigher on the line allowing access to the check-weigher for maintenance. This configuration reduces the space required on the line and allows the same reject system to be used.
The Veri-KEG system allows the brewery to prevent leaking kegs reaching retail outlets, and also reduces the costs of re-work and returns. Consumers benefit from improved product quality.

The system uses a unique imaging technique to reliably inspect a mixed flow of kegs with new and old spear types, of varying seal sizes and profiles. This in combination with the solid-state lighting makes the Veri-KEG a state of the art system.
By using an adjustable inspection head the system is able to inspect very accurately and reliably all keg sizes with a single camera.
Finally the system also stores the last failed images with inspection results, which are very valuable in fine tuning of the system for an optimum set of the system, between the pass rate and an acceptable false reject level.
The system also generates production statistics in terms of batch yield percentage and inspection rate. |
